66. The paint and decals are new. I'm not sure about the liner, it seems to be original to the
helmet, but could be post-war. Some dings on top. There is a red ink stamp on the leather tab
"SS-POL PANZER DIV -". Not sure if that's original or not (?) . These helmets were worn by SS
Special Detatchment Groups ("SS-Verfügungstruppe") from 1934 to 1940. They then combined
with the SS - Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler to form the Waffen SS. Proper satin black paint. Nice!
